There was a time when people were deeply connected with their surroundings. They were totally part of the ecosystems they were living in. It was crucial to contribute to maintaining an equilibrium in nature, to live in harmony. Now that we don't depend anymore on the direct environment and buy goods from all over the world on the internet, we are immersed in an era of disconnection with the Earth. But this is not a fatality; Nature is always available to teach us her knowledge and wisdom built upon millions of years of evolution on a 4.6 billion-year-old planet Earth.*
The Around the Fire website is an invitation to share your gratitude and love for nature by telling the story of a special moment with the Earth. It can be a short story of an encounter with an animal, a plant, an insect, a bird, a mountain, or a river (you name it) and what you learned about it, how it changed you.
Because what matters more today is to keep and share the fire we have in our hearts, our profound sense of connection with Nature. Let’s inspire other people by opening their senses and reconnecting with our deep nature with new narratives rooted in deep time.
Many thanks for sharing your story and don't hesitate to contact me.
